Somehow this scene always reminds me of a Mad Max movie. The future wasteland with sparingly placed outposts and desperate security such as man powered gates and fences that push- out of the way when people need to come in. Alas, this is Torrance California, almost a wasteland but not yet for a few years we hope……
Green Desolation
July 8, 2010 - 1:14 pm - Moody and desolate. This picture speaks much to those who are without meaning in this life, which is many people. Jesus gives, among many things, direction. "And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God"(1 Co 6:11).
July 8, 2010 - 4:07 pm - Yes, So many dont realize that "No direction" is also a direction. Thank God for his grace and granting of repentance which gets us on course, or away from a path of death. I think this direction can also apply to those with a saving faith as well. We glorify God most when we are most satisfied in him ; therefore we are most satisfied when we are glorifying him. Thus, the only way to be truly happy is to glorify the creator. Real joy is a self-fueling thing then. Worship creates more worship. What an amazing God we serve! Thanks for the comment.
